I am Sarfraz Raza, an educator and researcher working across algorithms, computational geometry, programming, and immersive learning. My focus is simple: make difficult ideas understandable without making them shallow.

I picked up Computer Science at NUCES Lahore not knowing it would turn into a lifelong habit of explaining things for a living. An MS at LUMS pulled me into computational geometry under Dr. Nabil Mustafa, and a research studentship at Aarhus University, under Lars Arge, taught me to think in I/O-efficient algorithms. Somewhere along the way I realised what I actually loved wasn't just solving the problem — it was watching a student's face when they finally see it too. That's what's kept me at the front of a classroom for over twenty years, currently as a Teaching Fellow at ITU, and before that across FAST-NUCES, FOIT-UCP, and Namal College.

I focused on Theoretical Computer Science: Algorithms, Discrete Mathematics, and Computational/Discrete Geometry.
Research Studentship — Aarhus University, Denmark, where I worked under Lars Arge on I/O-efficient algorithms.
BS (CS), 2001–2005 — National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES), Lahore, where it all started.
Languages I teach & speak in
English, Punjabi, and Urdu — I move between all three in the classroom, because a concept should never get lost in translation if I can help it.
